Food:

Head to Ricos Tacos Toluca on the corner of Lopez and Vizcainas in the Centro. Order the tacos de chorizo con tamarindo y habanero and thank me later.

Bar:

Cananea, the Juárez bar founded by cult Sonoran chef Jair Téllez, is a current favourite. The house tepacheve (fermented pineapple, topped with beer) is reason enough to stay.

Club:

Barba Azul, Simon Bolivar 291, Obrera 06800 CDMX. Enter a temple of Mexico City nightlife, with the tightest of in-house bands playing Salsa and Cumbia bangers. The room is always packed with the most fun people all intent on dancing. Four very good reasons to swing by this this January.
